Automation for innovation

When Stevens Mwanje FCCA joined Uganda’s National Social Security Fund (NSSF) as CFO, he was shocked by how behind the technology was in the finance team. 

After settling in, he set out to change things. By automating his team’s most mundane accounting tasks, he made more space for training and innovation. 

By 2025, he aims to have automated 85% of the team’s most basic tasks – helping them become more motivated and challenged. Now that’s proper leadership.
