Building the profession

Together, with financing from the World Bank, ACCA and the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE) are working to support the economy in Ethiopia.

The project has helped to build a new accountancy body – the Ethiopian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ETICPA). It aims to bring together existing accountancy professionals, and increase the number of people entering the profession.

This will help boost the development of much-needed accountancy skills – and drive the country’s economy forward.
